Each class explores a unique theme, from herbs for vitality and immune support to detoxification, queer health, coffee alternatives, and cooling summer teas. Learn about plants like tulsi, ashwagandha, milk thistle, and hibiscus while gaining practical skills for using herbs as tinctures, teas, and more. These classes are held every third Wednesday of the month, offering an accessible and welcoming space to connect with the healing power of herbs.

Wed, Feb 19th: Herbs for Health & Vitality

Deepen your relationship with herbs that support a strong immune system and optimal health. Get to know herbs that have a long history of use as tonics, adaptogens, and nervines such as American ginseng, elder, hawthorn, lemon balm, oats, and tulsi.

Wed, March 19th: Supportive Herbs for Queer Health

Learn about ten medicinal plants that are uniquely suited to nourish the queer body & mind. Deepen your knowledge about grounding & calming herbs such as linden, ashwagandha, & lavender, alongside damiana, maca, & other plants that support vitality, connection, and queer joy.

Wed, April 16th: Spring Cleaning: Herbs for Detoxification

Explore how herbs can offer gentle support for liver, skin and kidney health. Learn about the different organs of detoxification, key vocabulary, and important considerations when using cleansing herbs. Deepen your knowledge of ten herbs that have traditionally been used to stimulate digestive and urinary function, as well as lymphatic flow such as burdock, milk thistle, nettle, and yellow dock.

Wed, June 18th: Herbal Energy: Coffee Alternatives

Spice up your caffeine routine and explore herbal options for an alert mind such as mate, guayusa, ginkgo, and rosemary. 

Wed, July 16th: Wide World of Herbal Applications

In this class, you will learn basic vocabulary necessary to the study of herbalism. 

Attendees will get familiar with the wide range of herbal actions and the many ways that herbs can be applied therapeutically as tinctures, hydrosols, decoctions, poultices, etc.

Wed, Aug 20th: Cool Off With Herbal Iced Teas

Sample multiple herbal iced teas while learning about plants that help to cool the body during the hot summer months. Attendees will get to know refreshing plants such as hibiscus, marshmallow, spearmint, and many others.
