Anahata Yoga

Ammarah became a yoga instructor for Bharat Thakur Artistic Yoga in 2011 and took classes in different parts of India. She went on to further her training in different forms of Yoga such as RYT 200 in Hata Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. Shortly after, Ammarah got married to a Minnesota native and moved to Minneapolis, embracing motherhood within the span of a year. Luckily, flexibility and adaptability always came naturally to Ammarah.

With a strong passion to get back to what she loves, Anahata Yoga came to be. Anahata Yoga is a blend of traditional Ashtanga yoga neatly packaged in artistic form to meet the needs of today. Anahata uses a combination of ancient technique, asana sequencing, breathwork, meditation tools and relaxation practices to initiate a reset along the 72,000 pathways or Nadis in our body.

*Yoga Nidra: Experience deep relaxation and rejuvenation through our Guided meditation also known as ‘Yogic Sleep’ session.

*Kriyas: Focused on purification techniques for body, mind and spirit. Give your body a much needed detox that will help boost your metabolism, aid weight loss goals and give your mind and body a reset.

*Passive Stretches: Experience the ultimate relaxation and improve your flexibility through our hands on 1:1, head- toe stretching session.

*Prenatal/Postnatal classes: Classes are designed based on trimester of pregnancy,to support your pregnancy journey.

—1st Trimester: Classes focus on breathing exercises, meditation & light asanas that leave you energized and give you a cheery boost, on days that you dont feel your best.

—2nd Trimester: Classes focus on providing relief from aches and pains as your body begins to grow and the center of alignment shifts.

—3rd Trimester: Classes focus on preparing your body for child birth with lots of ‘hip opening asanas’ and breathing techniques that will get you through contractions for a smooth and easy birth.

Private Classes: All above-mentioned offerings can be converted to a private session that is on a  1:1 basis, or Personalized sessions, tailored to your individual needs,including health concerns or prior injuries and goals.
