Elijah Bell
Symytry Yoga
Elijah is here to provide a welcoming environment, for all people to connect with their own bodies.
Yoga acts as a bridge between mind and body by syncing breath with movement:
Elijah’s hope is to guide others on their journey to better understand themselves within Yoga postures by building strength, increasing flexibility and practicing balance.
Why yoga?
Elijah found Yoga around 5 years ago, at a very pivotal moment in his life.
During that time, Elijah was adjusting to some major life changes; having just relocated here from California and confronting all the challenges that came along with 2020.
Elijah found himself looking for something to ground his focus and bring peace.
Yoga has given him that and more!
Health and exercise have always been very important to Elijah. He participated in sports from a very young age, well into high school and later incorporated weight-training into his adult life.
Yoga was introduced to Elijah, by accident, in a way:
He stumbled upon a class in the multi purpose-room at his local gym and ever since that day, he was hooked. He immediately joined a Yoga studio and began practicing – consistently!
It satisfied so many aspects of what his body craved, naturally:
The use of movement and muscle engagement allowed him to feel present in his own body and the act of breathing to remain focused, provided a mindful meditation.
After introducing Yoga into His life, Elijah immediately began to see the benefits of the practice:
His muscles and joints felt more limber and overall his stress levels were lower.
More importantly, he noticed a change in the way that he viewed the world.
Elijah gained a more positive outlook on the oppositions and challenges that can come with life, by taking time to breathe and allow his mind to process struggle.
He felt more connected with his inner self, and thus more connected to the world around him.
With this new-found transformation, Elijah felt the calling to go to school to become certified as a Registered Yoga Teacher.
He wants to share all the joys and benefits of practicing with as many people as possible:
Helping others to build strength and flexibility in their bodies, and find peace within themselves.
