Gina L. Norman, CASD

Spiritual Director and Counselor

In Spiritual Direction, Gina believes the journey is less about concrete answers and more about exploring meaningful questions. As a Spiritual Director, she doesn’t dictate how things should be or what steps to take. Instead, her role is to help clients discover their own inner teacher, guiding them toward peace and clarity as they explore their questions together.

With a keen understanding of the human experience, Gina empowers clients to navigate life's challenges and discover their unique spiritual path. With a variety of therapeutic tools, she helps individuals:

  • Uncover their inner teacher: Gina's approach encourages self-reflection and personal growth, fostering a deeper connection with one's inner voice and wisdom

  • Heal from trauma and stress: Drawing on her expertise in nervous system regulation and trauma-informed care, Gina helps clients process past experiences and build resilience.

  • Strengthen relationships: By exploring communication patterns and codependency, Gina supports individuals in cultivating healthier and more fulfilling relationships.

  • Embrace their spiritual journey: Gina offers guidance and support as clients explore their spiritual beliefs and practices.

Gina's commitment to inclusivity and social justice drives her to provide culturally sensitive and affirming care to clients from diverse backgrounds. She is passionate about helping individuals from the LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and AAPI communities find healing and wholeness.

With a warm and compassionate demeanor, Gina creates a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. She believes that everyone deserves to experience the transformative power of spiritual direction and counseling.

Clients often wonder what they can bring to Spiritual Direction, and the answer is, anything you'd bring to therapy, you can bring here. Each session is tailored to the unique needs and goals that arise from within, allowing clients to uncover their own insights and paths to healing.

Gina graduated from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 2022 with a certificate in The Art of Spiritual Direction but has been a counselor since 2012.

What she loves most about her work is witnessing everyday people connect with their own inner guidance, empowering them on their paths to wholeness.

Outside of her work, Gina often finds herself lost in thoughts about her book, practicing mindfulness, walking her dog, seeking out coffee, or exploring new places. She cherishes people, nature, and art.
