Marakah Mancini de León

Marakah offers trauma-informed therapeutic massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing. She also offers specialties such as manual lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular therapy, and reiki, to help clients tap into their own natural healing abilities.

She loves working with people of all genders and cultural backgrounds who are ready to heal themselves. Each session is unique, determined by the goals that your own inner wisdom asks her to support. She is continually amazed and delighted by the creative solutions that clients’ systems develop…and the way the healing continues after clients leave her treatment room.

Her work has been informed by each client who’s been on her table, and by instructors and peers at the Upledger Institute, Somatic Experiencing International (SEI), Northwestern Health Sciences University, the Heartwood Institute, TRACC for Movements (Trauma Response and Crisis Care for Movements), Klose Training, Healing from the Core, Minka Brooklyn, Reiki by Esther, and the Third Root Community Health Center. Her work is also informed by the lived experience of the working people she’s supported through decades of work in the progressive labor movement. 

She is comfortable doing complex work in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and communicating basic concepts in French and Somali.

Her favorite thing about all of this work is seeing everyday people learn to access their own inner healer.
