Yoga
Yoga is a timeless practice that unites body, mind and spirit. The practice originated in India more than 5,000 years ago, and has continued to evolve into forms such as Artistic Yoga, adapted for the needs of today. The word comes from the Sanskrit root “yuj,” which means to unite or join, which represents the integration of our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. This holistic practice includes:
Asanas (physical poses) to cultivate strength, flexibility and balance
Pranayama (breathing techniques) to calm and focus the mind
Meditation and relaxation to quiet the mind and access inner pease
Philosophical principles to guide us towards a more compassionate and meaningful life
Through yoga you might find that you’re able to reduce stress and anxiety, improve physical health, enhance mental clarity, and better connect with yourself and the world around you.
Our yoga instructors have studied and practiced in a variety of settings, to create opportunities for you to explore. Choose the approach that resonates most with you – or add some variety into your practice by trying something new!
